The Dream Factory of Memphis is a 100% volunteer non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to granting dreams to critically and chronically ill children age three (3) through eighteen (18) without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation or economic status.
Founded in 1980, the Dream Factory is the largest all-volunteer driven children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness, with 38 chapters across the country. The organization believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain. www.dreamfactoryinc.org
The Memphis Chapter was founded in 1985 by Stephen Douglas who was fighting his own battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Shortly after realizing his dream to start the Memphis Chapter, Stephen passed away, but has left a legacy.
Since our inception, the Memphis Chapter has granted over 550 dreams. Our dreams have an average cost of $5,000. The dreams our kids wish for are as unique as each child. These dreams include, dream trips (Disneyworld most popular), celebrity meetings, shopping sprees, and the list goes on.
You can help by volunteering or through your generous donations. Please join us in making dreams come true!
